Kathleen & Steve Emery consistently participate in the Marin County Fair.

Kathleen & Steve participate in the art exhibitions of the Marin County Fair; entering work in various categories, and as jurors for other exhibits. Kathleen juries the High School art entries, Steve juries other various categories. Charlie Barboni, the wonderful fair manager, makes participating more inviting. This year, Kathleen had artwork in the “large format” category, “giclee” and in the “Marvelous Marin” exhibit. Steve had 3 pieces in the acrylic category. Total: 6 pieces, 5 ribbons.

Ceremony to honor Steve & Kathleen as Marin County 2015 cultural treasures.

Marin artists, Kathleen Lipinski & Steve Emery, were honored by the County of Marin as 2015 cultural treasures. Presenting the award was Supervisor Rice. In attendance was Al Boro head of the cultural services board, and Marty Griffin a longtime friend and environmentalist.

Marin County Supervisor Katie Rice presents us with the 2015 Marin Cultural Treasure award. The ceremony took place in the Marin Center Green Room before a Pilobolus dance performance. This is the first time the award has been given to a couple for their work in the visual arts.
