Layout of Steve’s unframed work in preparation for Open Studio weekend.

Some of these acrylic paintings have been reworked, some are new and others have never been shown. OPEN STUDIO May 6 & 7 and May 13 & 14, from 11 am – 5 pm.      38 San Francisco Blvd. in San Anselmo.

Both Kathleen and Steve were finalists for the Marin Magazine cover contest.

Each year, Marin magazine invites submission of artwork for their may issue cover. Although neither made the cover this year, both have artworks that made the inside article as runner-ups. Steve accepts Marin Magazine’s “cover contest” finalist award.

Marin magazine cover contest runner-up, Steve Emery, accepts his award at a ceremony held at Marin Open Studios gallery. In his appreciation speech, he acknowledged his appreciation for preserved park lands & open spaces which is at the centerpiece of why people have chosen to live in Marin and have been supportive of the arts that reflect that.

New 36 x 66″ Lipinski oil from the GGNRA, Mt. Tamalpais above Rodeo Dr., Sausalito.

This painting, a view of Mt.Tamalpais and Richardson Bay from the ridge above Rodeo Dr. in Sausalito, will be shown at Steve & Kathleen’s Open Studio May 3 & 4 and May 10 & 11, from 11-5pm.

Kathleen’s painting has been chosen for the cover of Marin Magazine, (May issue)!
