The canvas was stretched on Saturday and after five days of painting, the image is beginning to emerge. I’m working at Dostal Studios at 3rd and Lincoln in San Rafael: please drop by to see the work in progress!sf.

The Decision

Today, the architects, builders, and I chose images for the two large canvases:

The photo from which I will be painting

This is the Virgin River in Zion from which I will be painting the large, 8′ x 14′ canvas.

Slot Canyon from Emerald Pool

This is a slot canyon from Emerald Pool at Zion. This canvas will be 8′ x 4′.

The canvases are being stretched tomorrow, August 1st, and I will begin painting on Sunday. You’re welcome to visit at Dostal Studios:
