Steve & Kathleen’s work fits in perfectly at Giaco’s Roadhouse. They showed there last year at this time, and were enthusiastically invited back. Each has 10 pieces throughout the restaurant and bar. Steve has included a large color pencil drawing and a couple pieces from the Sierra, otherwise, his work is all acrylic paintings. Kathleen is showing prints. The exhibit will go through December. In October, Kathleen & Steve rafted the Colorado River for 16 days, through the 226 miles of the Grand Canyon. Spending days floating seemingly calm sections, then plowing through rapids was a powerful reminder of the power of water. The slow passing of the walls as sunlight took a long time to reach the canyon bottom were lessons in color and time. Steve recently began to work from the river and these are examples of a finished 28 x 20″ acrylic, and one in the early stages. Just like the guides, he is “seeking the line”. Hope to see you soon. Saturday and Sunday, December 2 & 3, from 11 am – 4 pm.
38 San Francisco Blvd. in San Anselmo. (415) 453-3648.
Kathleen is showing her small oil paintings & prints, as well as her notecards in this benefit show for the Sausalito Center for the Arts. Steve is showing his mini series: “Charts & Graphs” and “Floral Variants”; a few lyrical paintings & local landscape works.
