Steve & Kathleen run around Bon Tempe Lake a couple times a week, so no wonder that both have painted from there quite a bit. This 10″ x 5.25″ acrylic painting by Steve, is across Hidden Cove, near the bridge. You can see it at their May Open Studios, May 5 & 6 and May 12 & 13, from 11 am to 6 pm.

Painting the lush greens & wind-swept groves of west Marin.

Marin painter Steve Emery has painted the lush greens & windswept groves of West Marin for Marin Open Studios.

Huddled among the rocks against the constant wind, this grove of West Marin was painted by Steve this spring. It is 5″ x 14″ acrylic painting & will be part of our May Open Studios. May 5 & 6 and May 12 & 13, from 11 am – 6 pm.

Garden bulbs in full bloom!

The gardens leading to the home & studios of Marin Open Studios artists, Kathleen Lipinski & Steve Emery are another reason to visit.

By our May open studios, our thousands of garden bulbs are usually finished blooming. But, since they started last week, and will get some additional rains, who knows what state of bloom they’ll be in. If you’d like to see them at their fullest, come by appointment to see the garden & our artwork before the official Marin Open Studios start, May 5.

Completed lyrical piece, time-lapse movie to follow.

Marin lyrical artist, Steve Emery, will be showing his animated film of this abstract painting at the upcoming Marin Open Studios.

Throughout the circuitous path this acrylic painting took, photos were taken of the progress. Steve, with the help of his son, is making this into a short movie, which will be ready for Marin Open Studios, coming up May 5 & 6 and May 12 & 13, from 11-6pm. Kathleen & Steve have been participants in Marin Open Studios since its inception. This piece is titled, “Foreign Language” & is 20″ x 20″.

Marin artists, Steve Emery will show paintings from the Pine Mt. region at Marin Open Studio.

These two acrylic paintings, on masonite are each 24″ wide: 13″ x 24″ and 14″ x 24″. The Pine Mountain area is one of those islands of wilderness in the middle of Marin. Steve has painted from this area quite a bit. These will be part of what will be exhibited for Steve & Kathleen’s Open Studio, May 5 & 6 and May 12 & 13, from 11 am – 6 pm.
