Tamalpais from the Sunnyside of Bon Tempe Lake.

This oil painting of mt. Tamalpais from Bon Tempe Lake will be on display at the Emery & Lipinski open studio.

Kathleen & Steve both spend a few mornings a week up at Bon Tempe Lake. It’s always different. We’ve seen otters, green herons, hooded mergansers, pileated woodpeckers & newts on parade. This painting, just signed by Kathleen, is a 20 x 36″ oil on canvas. We’ll now clear a space & hang it for our open studio this weekend, December 2 & 3 from 11-5pm. See you there!

Here’s yet another painting from Ring Mountain!

Marin landscape artists, Kathleen Lipinski & Steve Emery will hold an open studio featuring oil paintings of Mt. Tam, the golden hills & California landscpes.

This small Lipinski oil painting is another from a favorite spot, the unique & prominent, Ring Mountain.                                               “Mt. Tamalpais from Ring Mountain, oil on canvas, 7″ x 12.5”, will be part of Kathleen & Steve’s open studio,                                     December 2 & 3, from 11 – 5pm.

Report on the 2017 Sausalito Art Festival.

Kathleen Lipinski survived the Sausalito art festival with paintings of Mt. Tam intact.

This year’s Gala theme was “Moroccan Nights”, and the sweltering heat made it “HOT Moroccan Nights!” Despite the 105 temperature, some ventured to the festival on Saturday, but most waited until the worst of the heat wave passed, to come on Sunday & Monday. During the night on Sunday, a gusty, strong wind came up, cooling things down, but damaging 15 booths with some art casualties. Kathleen, her booth & her art, all survived what many termed the “Sausalito Apocalyptic Festival”, with several paintings delivered to new homes. Thank you to all those who braved the unusual set of elements to visit!
